7-24-2006We get to welcome Margaret Anne into our lives, a beautiful little girl who will turn our world upside-down (again).

Richard and Mary04-28-2006We lost Richard to heart disease this month. A church full of people came to say goodbye, friends and family and past and present Scouts, some in their old uniforms. There are no words to express how much he did for all those around him. RIP.

12-22-05Were you wondering what happened to the family newsletter? Here it is, better late than never.

08-07-05Mary is one! We got to spend time with all of Mary's fans, and she got to taste ice cream and cupcakes for the first time today. Adding a toddler to our schedules has resulted in a lot less free time to play around with Web pages, but we don't regret a second of it. It may have been Mary's party but we all got the biggest gift.

12-20-04It's been a crazy Christmas season and we are still learning how to adjust our schedule around feedings and changing; but somehow we managed to get our Christmas letter out again this year. We also snuck in Mary's christening at St. Patrick on November 22nd.

11-09-04After a long time close to the house we travelled to Long Island for Poppop's memorial service, then the next week to Manhattan for the Marathon. We're lucky to be able to spend time with our family members, both near and far.

08-31-04On August 7th we met a new addition to our family, Mary Elizabeth. She already has brought us joy and love beyond belief - something we may have to remember when her teenage years come along.

05-07-04We lost Poppop yesterday - he died surrounded by the loving family whose character he was so instrumental in helping form. I only knew him for a few short years out of the 95 that he spent here but he impressed me, and many others, with his love for life, quick wit and kindness. He will be missed.

02-05-04Wedding bells - it seems that a number of wonderful people have decided to tie the knot recently; (we're not saying that we deserve all the credit for setting such a fine example) our warmest conratulations to Elisa and Howard, Jocelyn and Rène, and Kim and Jason.

01-05-04Montréal! We had a very satisfying, if tiring, trip up to the Great White North for New Year's Eve. Hotel and restaurant recommendations available on request, but suffice it to say that almost everything was above our expectations. Je me souviens, what more can I say?

We are wishing a very happy and healthy 2004 for everyone. Getting Christmas cards from far-flung friends and family was a treat, so please know that your stamping, signing and mailing efforts were appreciated.

12-10-03The new phone books are here! Oh, and you can look at our Christmas letter for the year.

11-27-03Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, especially those we didn't get to see. We had a party of seven in our little house: Nana and the Captain, Poppop, Chris and Jack and of course Monty. What was really amazing was how the antipasta, roasted turkey, haricot verte, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, turnip soufflè, cranberry sauce, olives (hi, Richard!), chestnut stuffing and pumpkin pie all fit into our kitchen. We did our part to clear it out, though.

Bye now
